The Culture Vs. Jesus Christ by Paradise’s Storm
We live in…
A culture heavily influenced by what others think
A culture inclined to being lead not knowing we were made in God’s image, to be lead by Him
A culture willing to do anything to not feel pain or heartbreak when in those moments God gives us His strength and makes us anew
A culture so heavily consumed with predicting what’s to come instead of living in the moments that come
A culture wanting the quick way to do and get everything instead of learning the lessons that need to be learned
A culture that runs to the Internet for answers when it’s You they should be listening to but they don’t know how to hear Your voice not knowing you dwell in us
So when I embarked on a journey that put me first, it led me right to You, the Lord Jesus Christ who is the only way, the truth, and the light that we all seek, that we’re all dying to be.
For Righteousness in the Lord is better than righteousness in the street.
When we believe in Jesus Christ we never lose cause the battle is already won
We can live in joy
We can live in peace
We can guard our hearts while loving whole heartedly
We can rest in the Lord, having faith that it’s Him we belong to
That we don’t have to be perfect
Because in being weak and heart broken
In Him we are reborn
To never be broken hearted again
The culture will never win against the
Man With the Plan,
God,
Jesus Christ
The Holy Spirit that dwells in each and every one of us
We just have to tap into it
Surrender
Rest in the Lord
Having faith
Hopping on God’s rope of hope right when you’re ready to give up, wanting to break
The relationship with Jesus is a process none the less
It’s a working relationship
Not for perfection
For an everlasting break
From the constant hurt, the constant pain
We keep taking ourselves through time and time again
Trusting His plan for our lives over our own
Because in Him
We are reborn
Time and time again
