Awareness and Accountability: The Keys to Our Growth by Patrice Brown

First, ask for the power to accept the things you cannot change and change the things you cannot accept.
Awareness of All Things
Awareness leads to happiness, a full life; a life of never blaming others for our problems and emotions, not giving people power over us.
Without awareness, we allow ourselves to be controlled by so many different things including gentrification, false advertising, manipulation, lies, and oppression. The list goes on.
There's so many things that have affected our subconscious minds, how we deal with emotions, how we deal with negativity, how we process things, what we accept, what we believe we deserve, and what we value. Being aware of how these things affect us wills the power to change our reality for the better.
When we lack awareness, things are programmed into our subconscious mind that we have no control over. Some of those things include the way we see our parents, caregivers, or older siblings deal with stress, negativity, and change are all programmed and instilled into us as children.
It takes growing up and being aware of these things to provoke positive change in our lives. Not using these things as excuses to fall victim to what we've seen, been taught, or has been programmed into us.
Accountability for Ourselves
Accountability and awareness goes hand in hand.
Accountability and awareness goes hand in hand.
Accountability is high on my value list.
Accountability is the key to growth, accepting change, solving life's problems, changing ourselves for the better, and reaching the next level in our lives.
The only way to change any situation in our lives is to change ourselves. We should spend time analyzing the situation and realizing what we could have done differently to make a situation better.
Spending more time alone with our thoughts will get us to be comfortable in being alone. This will give us the power in knowing that regardless of how someone feels or reacts to an emotional intelligent reaction from us, we will be fine with or without them in our lives.
If we live our lives blaming other people for our problems, playing victim, and pointing the finger, we are accepting the negative situation for what it is, allowing it to have the power over us and dwell in our lives.
I understand as a human beings it is easier to be negative because this is the default. I understand that things are easier said than done but realizing that these things are possible is the first step to us creating the room to get there.
