Poem: I’m Still Me, A Beautiful Woman
A beautiful woman
Who is not afraid of her emotions
Who is not afraid to say what she feels
And speak her truth
Whose voice is well used
A beautiful woman
who is not hard to understand
because she will explain time and time again
Until those times she cannot waste her breath
until repeating herself drives her insane
until she considers being petty and stooping to your level
but then she thinks again
A beautiful woman
who is not afraid to show love
or kindness
Because she is love
and she is mindful
Always thinking of others before herself
call her Selfless
A beautiful woman is who selfless
but sometimes selfish
because she realizes
she needs to be there for herself
A beautiful woman who is smart
who expresses her emotions through art
A poet
poetically spreading love
all over the world
I'm still me
The woman that wears her heart on her sleeve
on display for everyone to see
not afraid of her hurt or pain
because through it all she remains
sane as the naked eye can see
but deep down is where the pain runs deep
she still smiles because she knows its not that bad
even when she's sad
emotions comes as easily as they go
why not let them show
She does not know
because she feels locked in a cage
praying for God to take her pain away
Through her faith
She knows one day he will
and when he does
her pain will turn into peace
and she wont be able to do anything but drop to her knees
Giving God nothing but the glory
