Services Now Expanded to Tutoring
Being a classroom teacher — whether it was 10 students or 35 — didn’t change the stretching required to stay attuned to that many bodies at once. I taught in public school, where classes swelled to 35–70 students, and in private school with 11–25. Both environments asked the same thing of me: to hold more than my nervous system could carry.
I’m a person who is always attuned. For most of my life, that attunement went outward — toward other people, other needs, other emotions. Life (God) kept pulling me back to myself, even when I thought I had finally found my home in the classroom.
The truth is, I was never meant to be behind the scenes, but I also wasn’t meant to be in a room with thirty people for eight hours a day. My gift lives somewhere in between — in the space where teaching and attunement meet. That space is student‑aligned tutoring.
What do I mean by “student‑aligned”?
Each session with me is built around the child in front of me. No two sessions look the same — not for the same child, and not across different children. I offer short‑term or long‑term support, depending on what the season calls for. As we work together, I plan each session based on what worked last time, what the child naturally gravitated toward, and what new tools or resources I realize they need as I get to know them more deeply.
But more than anything, I build community. Families grow to trust me with their child’s learning, their confidence, their voice. That trust is sacred to me. It’s respect. It’s relationship. It’s the heart of why I tutor.
What I Actually Offer
My support is structured, intentional, and tailored to the child in front of me. Here’s what families can expect when we work together:
• 30–60 minute sessions
Flexible timing based on the child’s stamina, needs, and the goals we’re working toward.
• A living plan document
You’ll receive an initial plan at the start, and I update it as we go so it always reflects your child’s growth, interests, and emerging needs.
• Detailed post‑session reports
After each session, you’ll get a clear breakdown of what we worked on, what your child showed strength in, where they’re stretching, and how you can support them at home if you choose.
• End‑of‑chapter evaluations + next steps
At natural checkpoints, I provide a concise evaluation of progress and a roadmap for what comes next — whether that’s continuing, pausing, or shifting focus.
• Interactive notebook guidance
I help your child build a notebook that becomes a personal learning tool — part practice, part reflection, part celebration of their growth.
• Movement‑based lessons
Whether we’re in person or online, I incorporate movement, rhythm, and sensory engagement to keep learning grounded, joyful, and accessible.
At the end of the day, what I offer is simple: a learning experience that honors the whole child. I’m not here to force a curriculum, rush a process, or make every child fit the same mold. I’m here to notice, to adjust, to guide, and to build something that actually works — something that grows with them, not at them.
If you’re looking for support that is thoughtful, responsive, and rooted in genuine connection, you’re in the right place. This is tutoring that meets your child where they are and walks with them toward where they’re meant to go.
This is learning done with intention and care — tutoring that adapts, responds, and keeps your child at the center, exactly where they belong.
